Creativity deserves a place to shine. Let’s give it one.
I Should Be So Crafty celebrates disabled, neurodivergent and chronically ill artists and small business owners, bringing original art, handmade treasures and plenty of personality together under one roof.
We’re here to help creative businesses grow, connect with customers and get their work into the hands of people who love it. For many in our community, running a small business offers a way to earn an income while working around changing health, energy and access needs. Creating opportunities for that work to be seen, valued and purchased is at the heart of our mission.
A new name. A familiar passion.
Our story began with the 2025 Inclusion Art & Craft Fair at Ashfield Town Hall. Part of the Inner West Council Inclusion Festival, it welcomed more than 500 visitors and became the festival’s most successful event.
That brilliant day showed just how much appetite there is for a market celebrating our creative community. Now we’re back as I Should Be So Crafty, with a fresh look, bigger plans and the same love of independent creativity.
Behind the market is a disabled and neurodivergent small business owner with an events career stretching back to 2003. From corporate events and music festivals to founding Harlem Starlet in 2017 and organising markets and pop-ups, our organiser brings both practical experience and lived understanding to the event.
Access is part of the planning.
We plan with mobility space, wider aisles and stallholder access requirements in mind. We welcome conversations about what people need to participate, whether that’s extra room at a stall or support preparing for their first market.
Our aim is to build a space where artists feel welcome, customers can explore comfortably and people can connect at their own pace.
Come curious. Leave with a new favourite.
Expect a vibrant mix of art, craft and original designs, along with the chance to meet the people behind them. Ask about their process, hear the story behind a piece and discover something with personality.
Everyone is welcome to visit. Whether you’re shopping for a gift, treating yourself or coming along to see what our community creates, you’ll be supporting independent businesses with every purchase.
Big creativity. Disability led. See you at the market.
